Begining to build an incorruptible, efficient, tolerant Public Council at the Ministry of Health

Now there are very difficult times for Ukraine. Due to the revolution, war, human losses and disappointments, very slow reforms, many of us come to understanding that nobody is going to build our life for us. All of us, community activists, help to reform Ukraine the way we are able to.

The National Association of mediators Ukraine (Namu) does not stand aloof, and delegated Svitalana Chebakova to the Public Council under the Ministry of Health (PC). This is a very important area for citizens, and, unfortunately, the reforms are hardly noticeable, here.

04.28.15 there was the first meeting of the newly created Public Council under the Ministry of Health.

In the beginning there was speech of Alexander Pavlenko - Deputy Minister. The main thesis of the speech was a mode that PC will become an effective body of experts mouthpiece, a body with a clear purpose, structure and operating committees. Ms. Alexander more than three times in a short speech repeated the word "cooperation". MOH also will have a constructive dialogue with public and concrete proposals.

The meeting of PC, according to Svetlana Chebakova was like a party meeting in form, but had essentially democratic approaches. Everyone was able to speak honestly, and they openly elected the Head out of six nominations. Each candidate had the opportunity to express own views on the development of the Public Council. Due to pen voting they chose Maxim Ionov as the Head and five alternates in the most important areas.

Svetlana Chebakova believes that fundamental purposes to PC will be reform and anti-corruption committee. The professional and impartial position of mediators, experts on negotiation, will be useful: "We are ready to help in the organization of constructive work groups to develop a vision, strategy and tactics of PC. We are ready to help to build a tolerant and effective communication within the PC and PC within Ministry of Health. The task of mediators' community is to bring to society the idea of such communication, when everyone hears each other and can be heard. In such a communication there is the future. The task of mediator is to help PC and the Ministry of Health to have a permanent constructive dialogue that will create the foundation for long-term working relationship. Often parties can not agree because of emotions and personal ambitions. Good people with good ideas have conflicts, and do not understand each other. Divide and conquer - that motto minority to majority control. Hinder "past" no chance. Together we will build an efficient, incorruptible, professional, Public Council and society, in general. "
