On May 23, Galyna Yeromenko held a lecture "Working with interests in negotiations" at the Open University of Maidan. She talked about the competence of negotiators: working with relationships, controlling processes, and working with content (interests, options, alternatives, objective criteria).

She concluded with the concept that a mediator and negotiator are required if parties cannot conduct their own interest-based negotiations or do not want even to talk with each other. A mediator will bring parties to a win-win outcome.
