On October,9-11 the training "Basic mediation skills" was held in Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan shows great interest in mediation - for the residents are famous for its art and negotiation skills, to seek solutions that can suit all participants in the negotiation process. Trainers from UMC won the right to conduct mediation training for lawyers, psychologists, managers, clergy.

Summary of one participant: "I need to forget about everything I did before. I am finishing all court cases and will only engage in mediation. Other participants in advance pronounced their participation in the second level training.

Kazakh government cares about development and giving legal status of mediation: in particular the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan tasked to draft the law on mediation.
