On November 3, 2016, Verkhovna Rada - Ukrainian government - voted to pass the bill "On mediation" in a first reading.

This is important happening for Ukrainian mediators as they were halting at it during past 8 years.

All previous attempts to pass the law and to legally regulate mediation in Ukraine were unsuccessful.

There were 10 bills registered in parliament in 2011-2015.
