On May, 18, a final round table ‘Mediation as an alternative method of dispute resolution’ was held in Ivano - Frankivsk. The roundtable is the NGO "Institute of strategic partnership" project in cooperation with USAID "Fair justice".

The representatives of Lviv Mediation Center, the National association of mediators of Ukraine, judges of Ivano-Frankivsk and Volyn region courts, representatives of NGOs and students of the Carpathian Law Institute were among the participants.

During the roundtable, the project manager Oleg Sabadash and  the mediator  and NAMU member Yuri Mikitin told about the achievements of the project.

During the presentation on the prospects of legislative regulation of mediation in Ukraineof LMC co-founder and member of Namu Anna Lysko, there was a lively discussion on the advantages / disadvantages of the registered bills. A lot of important proposals to potential law were noted by judges Joanna Kovalyuk and Nadia Stefaniv, and also by member of NAMU YuriyMikitin.

As a result, the roundtable adopted a resolution that will include all proposals to the bill and will be directed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and to the authors of the bill 2480.
