More emotions and less pragmatism is main motto of 3-days educational program "Emotional competence of manager" that was conducted in Ukrainian Mediation Center on 16/09/2016. Is it possible to "train" emotional intellect? Is it relatively stable feature considering that nerve fibers develop up to the middle of a person's life? The answer to this can be feedback of one of the program's participants.

"On the mediation program you have made a person from a lawyer, and on the emotional program you have made a live person from usual one. There I have learned to develop self-consciousness and to feel other people's needs... I learned to understand myself and to talk about my needs".

We are waiting for those who want to develop their self-consciousness, to gain skills of perception and control of own and other people's emotions, to constructively interact with people on our next program in November!

While teaching our colleagues from Moldova by UMC trainers within the frameworks on UMC international project a meeting with Mediation Center of Moldavian CCI representatives striving to move mediation to business was conducted. It was very pleasant that many of CEDR graduates work in Moldova. Despite slowly movement of the case, there are significant improvements in Moldovan legislation. In particular, the state promotes mediation by claiming cost reimbursement to those trying mediation as an instrument of dispute resolution. The mentioned numbers are percent of cost reimbursement available for parties depending on trial step when they referred to mediation.

The mattes of opportunities to move together forward were discussed during visit of UMC delegation and Ukrainian-German project. Interim agreements were achieved. New requirements on mediators’ certification also influence the agreements. New rules take effect from September 2017. Content of new requirements is not clear yet though we already know that new requirements to confirmation of mediation conduct for those who is going to work in Germany are imposed. It does not influence work of mediators with German certificate in Ukraine. We hope to fruitful and joyful further cooperation. Promise to work at it.

Creative and smiling people opened to communication and difficult questions - that is how we have seen Club education participants in the National Bank of Ukraine. Maybe somewhere there are another ones, but with these people you can go.

We were talking about mediation and its usefulness for banks, how it could help settle connection with other stakeholders, particularly state authorities.

Mission possible!

We have received invitation to repeated presentation in NBU Head Office. We will try to surprise and make them love... mediation.
