Mediation - is a dispute resolution method in which an intermediary (mediator) helps the parties to a conflict establish a process of communication and analyze the conflict situation in a way that allows them to make a decision on their own that would satisfy their interests and needs. In contrast with a formal judicial or arbitration procedure, the parties reach an agreement voluntarily during mediation – the mediator doesn’t make a decision for them.
Ukrainian Mediation Center (UMC) was set up under the auspices of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School to be the driving force behind the development of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Ukraine, by providing training and making available the services of independent mediators.
Our greatest value is the reputation of UMC as an organization whose activities are based on:
Professionalism: we provide high quality services in a responsible manner
Impartiality: all our clients have equal opportunities
Independence: our mediators are financially self-sufficient and free from external influence
We offer you a film about mediation, nominee in the international competition CEDR AWARDS (filmed by UMC with the support of IFC)
