Manager and Trainer at the Ukrainian Mediation Center (kmbs), PhD

Galyna is accredited by CEDR (UK) as a mediator in accordance with international standards. Also she is a member of an international network of trainers in mediation (CEDR trainers-network). 

Galyna is a senior researcher of the Institute of State and Law after V.M. Koretsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. 

Education: Lawyer. In 1995 defended a thesis on the topic “Compensation of damages caused by state power authorities”, the city of Kharkiv.
Specialization: As a scholarship holder of International Institute for Unification of Private Law (Rome, Italy), in 2001 participated in professional development program organized by the above mentioned institute. Galyna is a co-author of text-books and manuals on civil law, legal encyclopedias, scientific monographs and articles. In 2004 she became the award winner (award after Yaroslav the Wise) granted by the Academy of Legal Sciences. Galyna participated in educational programs on business education development: INSEAD, (France), Irish Institute of Business (IMI, Ireland), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, Great Britain), etc. In 2010, Galyna was recognized as Weinstein fellow at JAMS Foundation (USA). Also she is a member of an international network of trainers in mediation (CEDR trainers-network). Galyna is accredited by CEDR (UK) as a mediator in accordance with international standards.
Relevant trainings: Trainings on “Basic mediation skills” and “Mediation skills on resolving corporate disputes” conducted by CEDR experts, Great Britain; training “Mediation in an organization: settlement and prevention of conflicts and disputes through the use of mediation skills” conducted by experts of Saint Tomas University, USA, «Mediation and Negotiation Curriculum Development seminar» in Sarajevo, Bosnia in 2008 (supported by IFC and Harvard Law School), "The Art and Science of Negotiations on Harvard Negotiation Project» and others.
Position and place of employment: Since 2008 – Manager of Ukrainian Mediation Center under Kyiv-Mohylyanska Business School. In April 2012 Galyna was appointed Chairman of the Commission for Mediation and Advisor to the President of ICC. Also she is a senior researcher of the Institute of State and Law after V.M. Koretsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Work experience: 1993 through 1994 - worked as a lawyer. She has nine years of experience as Vice President of the International Institute of Business, where she was responsible for cooperation with the State Property Fund of Ukraine, the SEC, the Antimonopoly Committee, the Ministry of Economy and others. For four years she was a Deputy Director of HRM School (kmbs). In 2010 she worked as a trainer of negotiations at the School of Senior Civil Service of Ukraine. Besides, Galyna has teaching experience for UNDP, ABA, CEELI and others. Also she has experience as a mediator in commercial, institutional, family disputes and conflicts. Galyna is co-author of the Law of Ukraine "On the mediation." As a coach she conducted trainings for mediators in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
In 2012 Galyna was the Head of the Comission on Mediation, ICC Ukraine and Advisor to the President of ICC Ukraine.
In 2013 Galina’s case "Collaboration Competence Development" has been conditionally accepted subject to being revised for presentation to the 6th Conference of the EuroMed Academy of Business. Also she was honored with the "Era of Mediation" award "For achievements in theoretical and applied research technologies of alternative dispute resolution".
